1,500 poker players from 35 countries will meet at 12 tournaments on 38 poker tables!
Carinthia will once again host the European Poker Championship and draw the international poker elite to Lake Wörthersee.
Lake Wörthersee and Velden in particular are impressive lifestyle settings and the places to be for the international poker scene. There's no other place where the poker experience is more palpable than on the beautiful turquoise Lake Wörthersee in summer! The supporting programme with the casino's own motorboat, the suckling pig roast dinner, the Carinthian "Brettljause" and the water ski shows in Velden Bay is once again quite impressive.
Mingle with the best!
The first big highlight of this year's event is the Showdown on Lake Wörthersee, which is bound to be the biggest tournament once again with a buy-in of 500 + 50 euros. The Wörthersee Poker Party with a buy-in of 300 + 30 euros, which takes place on the second weekend of the European Poker Championship, is also comparable, but of course participants are mainly here for the European Poker Championship titles. The Ladies' European Poker Championship has already established itself as a popular fixture and is set to launch with a buy-in of 300 + 30 euros. The European Pot Limit Omaha Poker Championship has a buy-in of 2,000 + 200 euros. At the European Seven Card Stud Poker Championship, players can join the game with an entry fee of 300 + 30 euros. The most important tournament is of course the Main Event, the 2,500 + 250 euro No Limit Hold'em European Poker Championship. High rollers can get their money's worth with a 5,000 + 400 euro buy-in. Following international trends, the Mystery Bounty with a buy-in of 1,000 + 100 euros will be awarded as a new European Championship title for the first time this year. It will be interesting to see how high the bounties will turn out to be.
The cash game tables are open daily between 3:00 pm and 5:00 am.
At this mega event, there will also be plenty of time to enjoy the exceptional flair of the region, away from the poker tables. Given the excellent location in Velden's bay, it's easy to find that perfect combination of poker fun and that special summer feeling. The sea's available for a refreshing swim, while the casino's own motorboat is available to guests free of charge so they can explore the area. The nightlife at Casinoplatz, the excellent bars and restaurants and the professionalism of the team around Casino Velden's poker manager Gerald Golker ensure that a stay at the casino will be an unforgettable overall experience for Austrian and international guests.
