For more than 55 years, Casinos Austria has been committed to supporting humanitarian and social causes in and for Austria. Numerous projects and initiatives are supported in line with the credo ‘Playsponsible - Living Responsibility Together’. This commitment has also resulted in our long-standing support for Austrian Cancer Aid, e.g. the ‘Pink Ribbon’ and ‘Loose Tie’ initiatives.
In 2023, Casinos Austria expanded its commitment to Austrian Cancer Aid to include the joint initiative ‘Happy Moments’. This involves Casinos Austria cooperating and sponsoring partnerships with a wide range of institutions to provide a contingent of free tickets for cancer patients. This year, these include the Burgtheater, the Bregenz Festival, the Raimund Theatre and the Ronacher as well as the Beach Volleyball Elite16 tournament at Vienna's Heumarkt in July 2024. From autumn 2024, tickets for the Vienna Volksoper will also be part of the cooperation with Krebshilfe for the first time. The tickets will be offered to cancer patients already being cared for by Krebshilfe, especially those who are in financial need as a result of the disease.

When someone is diagnosed with cancer, both the physical challenges and the emotional strain are immense. If we can help to provide a little time out, we are happy to do so. We are happy to make a contribution that helps people when they find themselves in difficult situations. So that they can forget their worries, at least for a while, and recharge their batteries."

It takes time to get used to the new reality, to a new ‘everyday cancer life’ with appointments for treatments and check-ups. No healthy person can imagine what it is like to constantly live with the fear that the cancer will return or progress despite the treatments. It is important that we sometimes have a break from everyday life with cancer. The invitation to the Burgtheater was such a wonderful break. Thank you very much for that!"
